Tarkarli is a beautiful sea beach located in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. The place is calm and serene with a long coastline and pristine waters which make it ideal as a honeymoon destination. The Sindhudurg Fort is situated inside the Arabian Sea and is visible from the shore. It was constructed in 1667 AD by the Maratha king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Boats are available from the coast to visit the fort. Another attraction of Tarkarli is the confluence of the Karli river and the Arabian Sea. You can also take a boat ride through the backwaters of Tarkarli.

The nearest railway station is Kudal which lies on the Konkan Railway line. Kudal is well connected with Mumbai and Margao by train. Mumbai and Margao enjoys excellent connectivity with the rest of the country.
